About Us

Alster Interiors. That's us. We've been here in the heart of Lancashire since 1858, when we were established by a pair of brothers called, er, Alston. What do we do? We do interiors.

This means offering paint, fabric, blinds, curtains and plasterware. Wallpaper and fabrics comes from, among others, Colefax and Fowler, Sanderson, Zoffany, Osborne and Little, Brian Yates; paint (all environmentally friendly) from the Little Greene Paint Company, Osmo and Earthborn.

So, are we interior designers? Not exactly. Obviously, we make up your soft furnishings ourselves (thanks Shirley) and we do advise, hint and suggest. Anything more might be a bit rude of us. Because we know you've got taste. That's why you're here.

So, who are we? Well, there's Sarah. Sarah has 22 years experience. And Shirley. Who's been sewing and mending and doing clever stuff with curtains for 18 years now. Pausing only for chocolate.

Staying ahead in our field has meant stocking only products that we would use ourselves, and checking out each product carefully - particularly with paint and the use of chemicals. That's how we keep you happy.

We're experts on our products, very good at solving problems and always aim for 100% customer satisfaction. We're friendly, open and honest and always up for a cuppa and a natter. Why not share one with us soon?
